Missin’ Bits are from left to right:  Chris, Ned, Michelle and Col.

As well as at other local Clubs and at Camp Cobark, Missin' Bits regularly appear at Steel City Country Music Club (when they can find all the Bits that are Missin')

Come and see us.

THE MISSIN' BITS STORY.

The Band

Chris:- Bass playing extraordinaire.

Col:- Guitar /singer (P.A Knob twiddler).

Ned:- Drummer/singer.

Michelle:- Singer (Loves playing guitar, usually not allowed!).

The story

Missin' bits played for the first time at Poley’s Country Hoedown in Gloucester April 2005.

Back then the band was called the 6 p’s , Nerida (Ned) was the bass player, Emma (Michelle’s daughter) was the drummer, Colin and his son Tyler played guitar, Michelle and Alana (Cols daughter) sang. We had 5 songs, Sweet home Alabama (Michelle sang –Big wheels keep on burning, and by the end of the song they were) Stand by your Man, Waitin' for a train, Traveling Soldier and Smoke on The Water (not performed).

Everyone enjoyed the experience and we have a great photo memento. Missin' Bits is now the resident band at Camp Cobark located in the foothills of the Barrington. The band plays there most long weekends and are playing there again this Easter. The campers enjoy the music and we enjoy the camping.

There has been a bit of change since then with the welcoming introduction of Mr Bass man himself Chris (Dool) Stevens when Ned left. Ken (Footloose) Foote took on Lead Guitar for a while and Alana and Tyler still enjoy playing with the band on the ODD occasion, they continue to enjoy music but Missin' Bits isn’t in their plans at the moment.

The name “ MISSIN` BITS”.

The name Missin' Bits was born when Ned moved to Broken Hill to fulfill her dream of becoming a bush nurse. We missed Ned, Michelle always missed words, Col missed nothing ( that’s what we let him believe) and Chris was always trying to work out what to do when bits were missing and therefore Missin' Bits just seemed to fit.

The hot topic of conversation at the Steel City Country Music Club is who is married to whom!

NEIGHBOURS:-

COL
Col has two children and is not married to anyone in the band (not sure about his relationship with Chris?) and dreams about speaker stacks in his sleep.

Michelle
Michelle is married to Carl (not Col) and has 4 children and works as a Diabetes Educator at the John Hunter Hospital.

Kerri (Extra Bit)
Kerri has 3 children and is married to Greg (not Col) and works at Warners Bay indoor sports centre. Kerri attends most of Missin' Bits gigs and gets people dancing, tells us when things don’t sound right and is charge of champagne rations.

Ned and Michelle SISTERS.
Ned
Nerida is married to Allan (not Col) and has 1 baby Haley. Nerida is a registered Nurse and works mainly at the Mater Hospital.

Col and Chris- Surfing buddies.
Chris is married to Tina (not Col) and has 2 Grown up children and is a Teacher.

Michelle and Ned love Col but are not married to him (don’t tell him we said something nice about him).

Missin' Bits practice most Friday nights at “Cols Kitchen” (sounds like a great bar or café), but it is Colin’s Kitchen. We have fun, a few wines and whines.

Steel City country club has become very important to Missin' Bits. We enjoy the friendship, comradery and have learnt a lot from the talented musicians that are performing on Tuesday nights, we will always be Missin' Bits even if we do manage to get it right on the night.
